Ah, I do like Phryne Fisher. I've read 2 of the books (the first and third, I think). There were cringe-worthy moments in the books, but in general, I liked them. And I like the series, too. I've seen a good bit of the first two seasons. The clothes are so nice, and I like that she is shows solidarity with all kinds of women, regardless of class or different view points. I like Mac, too, but was sort of sad to see they went with a 'bury your gays' trope early on with her.
