No, they haven't seen the movies or shows, but they got a Star Wars craft book (part of pre-selected bundle of 6 books of kids crafts chosen by the librarians) and each picked a craft they were keen to do from it.

Yeah, it's a constant rumble-rumble. I got used to it after a day. There are 4 stages with progressively longer time frames. Their father doesn't return for a month so I think we can get through them all--with perhaps a day of silence in between!
