Fannish 50 #7: Facial Sheet Masks

Fannish 50 #7: Facial sheet masks.

One thing I learned about from being an ARMY, in the BTS fandom, is facial sheet masks. Here's a very funny video of J-hope and SUGA teaching us how to use them.

Here are the ones I have on hand at the moment. They can be expensive (the pricey ones are like $6 a pop) so I always buy them when they're on sale. I got a Burts Bees one on clearance for $1 and I was very happy about that. I like fruity ones. These are sheet masks, there are ones that are goo and dry and peel off but I always get those stuck in my eyebrows and hair so the sheet ones are better. I don't know if they really help a lot (my skin) but I enjoy them. So you can see the bottom one is a novelty Valentine one. I did it yesterday. It's lavender.

All of Agatha: The Hollow

So I am plodding on into 1946 with the 23rd of the Poirot books, The Hollow. This is a country house mystery and I don't remember reading it before, so much so that the person I thought was the killer for most of the book did not do it! It relies on psychology a lot, so you have to believe the tangled web of feelings all the characters have.

I think I liked it most because it has a female character who is a sculptor and in the last couple of years, I have had fantasies of being a sculptor (fantasies because I don't know how to sculpt and have never tried!) and it talks a little bit about how she feels about her work and that part was very interesting to me. Like when Ngaio Marsh lets Troy talk about her work.

Next Up: Come Tell Me How You Live, a short memoir. My libraries don't own a copy so I shall have to read it on archive.org. I think I'll leave it for March.

I have been having SUCH a lazy day. When people say stay at home moms are lazy I think they were talking about ME today!

I have been reading and not much else. I am reading Richard Osman's latest Tuesday Murder Club book, which is a lot of fun. I walked to the sub place and got a tuna sub for lunch and that's it.

So today SUGA of BTS announced that he's going on a world tour! By himself. There are dates in the NYC area April 26, 27 and 29 and in the Chicago area May 3, 5, 6 (the 6th is my birthday!). Oh, should I try to go? Should I try to get tickets? I don't know! I could drive to NYC and not deal with airplanes. There are plenty of direct flights to Chicago. I haven't even talked to the boys' father about it so we'll see.

Even though it's not Friday, I felt the urge to collage! I have that cute bears & cherries red washi tape.
