My Poem: A Bravery of Geraniums

Title: A Bravery of Geraniums
Number of Lines: 8
Rating: Gen
Poetic form: triolet
Prompt: mistrusting
Notes: I just read this line from Castle Skull by John Dickson Carr: There are many echoes in Coblenz by night, for you must not be deceived by a bravery of geraniums and villas into forgetting the old decaying gables crowding up behind. Bells have rung, and men have died, since Cæsar here threw his bridge across the Rhine. But now it was bright daylight—though dusky in the tunnel—and I distinctly heard somebody walking just behind me.

you mustn’t be deceived by a
bravery of geraniums
the mistrusting and the shy say
you mustn’t be deceived by a
bed, they dissemble, they lie, they
have too much in their craniums
you mustn’t be deceived by a
bravery of geraniums
