Spotify Meme (#22 & 44): Cut to the Feeling by Carly Rae Jepsen & Give Me the Flute by Hosam Hayek
For the Spotify meme, peasina asked for #22 & #44 (and #66--that next post) and I thought it was a wild contrast.
#22 is Cut to the Feeling by Carly Rae Jepsen. A little cringy but I associate it with Pride Month because of that meme with the dancing guy in all the wigs. And it is a good bop to have on when you are mopping bathroom floors and scrubbing sinks and picking up after boys (which I do a lot).
#44 is Give Me the Flute by Hosam Hayek which is another Middle Eastern-inspired song. Funny because there isn't any flute in it (as far as I can tell). It's just guitar/strings. Palestinian, I believe, in origin. And another I listen to when I write Joe from The Old Guard.
