Music Monday: Toccata Arpeggiata by Kapsberger

This is today's entry from Year of Wonder by Clemency Burton-Smith. It's Toccata arpeggiata by Kapsberger. The instrument is a theorbo, a Baroque lute.

Oh, lovely! ♥ Thank you for sharing!

If you're interested in a more modern (yet timeless) way of lute-wielding, and you don't know him yet, I'd like to introduce you to Jozef van Wissem (here even with him singing, which is rather rare). I stumbled over him thanks to his soundtrack contribution for Jim Jarmusch's wonderful Only Lovers Left Alive (here is the whole brilliant soundtrack), and saw him a few times live now. Extraordinary!
