Happy Easter to all those who observe it!



The boys and I dyed eggs. Their father has left for Burkina Faso. The flat is clean and stocked. So I can focus more on fic and poems and things like that. The week will be busy. The boys' Spring Break extends through Monday; they go back to school on Tuesday. Minor's birthday is Thursday. So it's a bit of calm before the (next) storm.

Thank you! They do LOOK brilliant but unfortunately, I got confused about which was which. I could've sworn I set aside two un-dyed ones as raw for cookies and muffins, but I discovered those are boiled and at least two of the dyed ones are raw. It's a muddle.

Yeah, I am so behind on everything. I got myself almost caught up at the end of last month and I let it unravel. Ugh!

Thank you! Yes, I made it home! I am okay. Getting back to normal life. I did enjoy the poets you recommended. I have posted one of them and I have requested a book from the library of another. Thank you for those recommendations.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the poetry! Another collection I got and remember enjoying through the book subscription I have is by Justin Phillip Reed, "The Malevolent Volume," if you're looking for any more. I just realized I need to be sure my subscription renewed - I think the bookstore started doing it in Mar 2020, as a way to get more people trying poetry books when it was harder to browse with shops being closed at the time; so my renewal usually comes up around Mar/April!

Believe it or not, my online library has The Malevolent Volume on audio read by the poet. Very cool. And the other one you recommended earlier The Pilgrim Bell is available, too. So lots of things to explore!

Thank you! I made a mistake and mixed up the boiled and raw ones so now I don't know which is which. I am having to spin them but that's not entirely conclusive a test.
