2025 Snowflake Challenge: Day 8

Challenge #8
In your own space, write a promo, manifesto or primer for a beloved character, relationship or fandom.
This last one is the one I usually submit for this question: the idea that Holmes & Watson retire together. Even as recent as yesterday, I was reminding one of my beloved readers that it is NOT canon. Watson comes back for His Last Bow but The Lion's Mane makes it clear that he isn't a part of Holmes' retirement. And we hates that, don't we?
But let's talk about a few other fandoms.
1. And then there were none. the book by Agatha Christie. I love Vera Claythorne and Phillip Lombard. They are deeply flawed characters, but I hope they get some satisfaction in the afterlife.
2. Venom. In the second film (Let there be Carnage) there is a throw-away comment by Venom that Venom and Eddie should be a detective duo. I love that head canon.
3. BTS. It will be very interesting to see what kind of music they put out when they get back together after everyone finishes their military service. They have evolved in their solo careers into artists with fairly distinct styles and it will be interesting to see if they can recapture the synergistic magic of OT7.

Playlist
1. Vivaldi - "Summer" from Four Seasons - performed by Trondheim Soloists with Soloist Mari Silje Samuelsen - On Youtube
The most summery piece of classical music I know.
2. Ralph Vaughan Williams - "The Lark Ascending" performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra - On Youtube
An English composer. It represents the early morning, 'lark hours,' when the gardener and beekeeper want to get at their tasks before it gets too hot (or storms).
3. Karen Tanaka - "Lavender Field" performed by Jaylen Goh - On Youtube
A soft, short piano piece by a modern composer meant to represent the flowers awaiting the bees visit in the morning
4. Rimsky-Korsakov - "Flight of the Bumblebees" - On Youtube
And, of course, here are the bees!
5. Glazunov The Seasons Op.67 - 3. Summer - On Youtube
This represents the other parts of garden, the flowers, the butterflies, the birds, and the whole setting.
6. Tchaikovsky The Seasons, op.37 No.6 June, Barcarolle performed by Lang Lang - On Youtube
This shifts gears to a soft, slow piano piece which could represent the gaze of the gardener on his work and the effect of the heat slowing work down.
7. Max Richter - On the Nature of Daylight - On Youtube.
Even in summer, the light eventually fades. This represents getting the last tasks done before sunset.
8. Felix Mendelssohn - A Midsummer Night's Dream - Op. 61. Nocturne On Youtube
And then, there's nighttime and reflection on the day's work and tomorrow's work and enjoying the cool of the evening.
