This is today's entry from Year of Wonder by Clemency Burton-Smith. It's Toccata arpeggiata by Kapsberger. The instrument is a theorbo, a Baroque lute.

You are very welcome, I'm super glad you like his music! :) (Usually I'm not rubbing unasked my favourites under people's noses, but I got an inkling here, haha.)

He is also a wonderfully kind, shy and nice guy, I saw him at least thrice now, and really small venues; one time was at a chapel at the end of a railroad or something, a "cultural" event in the prairie, and my spouse and I were clearly the only other "alternative" audience - apart from van Wissem himself, mind. And I love the titles of his songs, they are like ideas to meditate over whilst listening, it's marvellous.

I have that red vinyl of the soundtrack! It's a real gem. Have fun discovering his other albums, they are all treasures. :)

I listened to Only Lovers Left Alive, Ex Mortis and We Adore You, You have No Name today, and I enjoyed them. I prefer the solo and purely instrumental tracks and will definitely add him to rotation.
