My Poem: The Honey Dipper: Gen

Title: The Honey Dipper
Fandom: Original
Poetic Form: Dizain and concrete poem
Word Count: 74
Rating: Gen

Here's the text of the poem in case you can't read the image. The image next to it was made with the lining of a wrapper of a chocolate bar.

The hive-shaped spoon was hewn on turning lathe
from wood been-stripped from boughs where apples thrive
and is accustomed, thus, to honey-bathe
and sweetness-bearing work, its teeth alive
to saps that cling and clutch to well-survive
the journey from lip of jar to buttered bread.
Such blessings spread like rain on garden bed
and are just as welcome as treacled noon
ascending high above the stem and head
of an applewood, slow-spun, hive-shaped spoon.

You are both very clever and very inventive.

What a lovely way to describe the honey dipper.

That's about how far in I am, too! I've read it before many times, but it's been awhile.
