For someone who doesn't like to do New Things, I've done a ton of new things this month.

Read three new-to-me authors for the Book Bingo (and did some new fan art of Gideon the Ninth). Made three new dishes from recipes from a DASH cookbook [beef tenderloin with artichoke hearts, Cuban pork with black beans, and shrimp primavera with angel hair pasta]. Watched a TV show and wrote in a new fandom (Lucifer). Made new crafts, like miniature food (cookie and carrots). Did some new art (with fizzy paint). Here is an example (the Hermit).

Made a postcard for the Multi-Fandom Postcard Exchange, which I'll post when the snow melts. Signed up for my first FutureLearn course for next month. Did a puzzle without a map for the first time.

Writing: Four poems! Most of my words have been for my Joe/Nicky werewolf WIP, It was a dark and stormy night. I have four chapters left on that.

Personal: The big thing is the boys go back to school 1-2 days a week starting mid-March. Minor's grades and behavior were plummeting at the end of December so now I am sitting with him every day in every class (except related arts) to keep him on task. He's doing much better, but it means I am neglecting Minisculus a bit (because I can't clone myself) and he's figured out how to do a lot of things he shouldn't on the computer (while leading other 5-year-olds into temptation). Both boys were grounded for a weekend when I accidentally stumbled upon a scheme of theirs. And fourth grade is much less exciting the second time around. My father's old friend died of COVID. He dated my aunt (my father's sister) when they were young and this year they began dating again (both widowed and divorced) in their 70's. They went traveling for the holidays, both got sick two weeks ago, and he died last week. Just like that. Sad. Glad that the current president is no longer trying to murder my family, but pessimistic that he and all the people who enabled him will suffer any consequences. The Fascist Soccer Dads are a constant presence on Saturdays. I had to blast Mozart yesterday the whole game to drown them out.
