Yes, I was very surprised. I have vague memories (obviously 8 years ago) of a huge price. Granted, I was getting 2 pair of glasses then, and had a different insurance, but it was close to $500, I remember. So I was very pleased that the clerk seemed to not be pushing expensive stuff. And I only use them for driving so the appearance is of no importance to me.
