Just a heads up that Spook Me signups are running through the 15th. The new creatures this year are SKELETON and WEIRD WEST but there is a list of 20+ other possibilities. The mod sends you two photo prompts after sign-ups close, and fics are due October 26. I've done it many years and always enjoy it.

This year I am going to do an original work [ant possessed by a zombie fungus based on Merlin Sheldrake's book Entangled Life] and Skeleton with as part of a case for a retired Tom Barnaby from Midsomer Murders to solve.
