Music Monday: The Ride by David Allen Coe

Answering the meme question about songs a couple of weeks ago got me thinking about country music, and I remembered a song I like. Searching for it this morning, I realized that it is also by David Allen Coe (who sang You Don't Have to Call Me Darlin') and it's one I should've posted for Hallowe'en because it's about a young hitchhiking musician getting a ride from the ghost of country singer Hank Williams. The classic line is 'I said 'Mister, many thanks,' / he said 'You don't have to call me Mister, mister, the whole world called me Hank.' [Note: this song is not racist, either, so yay!]
