Collage Journaling: last o' the Xmas

I did remove a section of my journal and am working with that by itself. It lays much flatter. So here's my last traditional Christmas collage.



And I wanted to do a non-red and green Christmas theme. I have a lot of those film-looking frames. A 1920s Nick and Nora Charles Christmas + a bit of the BVM.



And finally a lighthouse Xmas.

Xenial landlady of chatelain and locks
Extends to all who seek refuge
Not only a fire and a cup whose warmth lingers
Included in her hospitality and kindness
A fruit of clever machine and nimble fingers
Lovely, woolly, swiftly knitted socks

Yet wakes the world again from darkest night
Undeserving of the promise of spring
Lingering the absence of precious light
Ere wakes the world again from darkest night
Too soon healed and forgot bruise of paschal bite
In canicule, in lashes autumn winds bring, so
Don’t wake the world again from darkest night.
Ever yearning for the promise of spring

Title: Z is for zest

Zealously grate the orange and the lemon, scrape and grind, it’s
Exciting (and aromatic) to berate that citrus rind!
Sprinkle on the surface! Fold into the battered mix!
Test your zest for zest and then confess, it’s cinnamon that sticks!
