April is Poetry Month! Yay!
So in my bullet journal, the monthly spread reflects that theme.

My first poem is a poem that I will read on Wednesday to my meditation group. It's my turn to lead the group this Wednesday and I like sometimes to read my own verse to close the session. The poem (English sonnet) reflects one of the images our guru uses to illustrate what the meditator should strive for during meditation. It's also for the prompt #26 'enlightened' at

Observe as oil is poured from flask to flask
in unbroken, uninterrupted stream
Watch the flow, without gap, from cask to cask
un-diverted, unhindered, without seam
Remember years of training, lifetimes spent
in pouring drops and drips, ego as child,
when thoughts weren’t ever thought but rather spent.
they splattered like grease, purposeless and wild.
Know the strain to unify will, to still
the mind, with grace, to jettison the dross
to pour with steady hand, not shake or spill
to meditate, without pause or loss
Not prophet, saint, or god, only awake,
the enlightened one’s oil flows without break
