My library has been doing some very cool things for Poetry Month. So there was a display in the YA section where you took a page (torn from a book) and made a blackout poem. I've never done this before, but I enjoyed it. Will definitely try it again. This is page 414 of Flashback by Sharon Messenger [book is not known to me]. Text transcribed
I know.
I REALLY hate it.
I know.
it's going Everything's going
Alvar. drag me home
couldn't wait can't
anyone--anyone
there's a murderer in my house
I'm sure--and
and and even
right?
I don't know I could see it's risky
want you around brother
of people
once home now
the time to worry
Yeah, well...keep me away
He didn't smile.
the worst part The worst part
nagging me
Alvar's needs how he inter-
acts with other people." don't let him
into the house--
He flung Mr. Snuggles across the room
"Sorry," "I'm fine--don't worry about the
echo."
