4 – International Carrot Day: In your opinion, what's the best way to cook and eat carrots?
Raw baby carrots are one of the few vegetables Minisculus will eat so we have them almost every day. I like them. I only eat cooked carrots in soup or pot pie or something like that.
It's spring break.
Poetry month is going well. I have been doing plastic egg hunts in the house. I am planning on 3 rounds total before Sunday (Easter). New this year is that I made Minor draw a map of the flat/apartment and I mark on a copy where I hide them so I won't forget where they are and I can keep better track of when they're done. There are 22 eggs total and there are prizes. Of course, to prevent hurt feelings the winner (between Minor and Minisculus) gets first pick at the pair of prizes (and the one who's found less eggs gets the remainder prize). It's reduced but not eliminated (!!) Minisculus crying about 'losing.'
Minisculus went to a birthday party of a classmate (at an indoor trampoline place) and he's been invited to another (where only 2 friends were invited). I am happy he has friends and is considered a good friend to other kids. I took him yesterday to the YMCA to get oriented to the fitness equipment so now he can go with his father (or me) and go on the treadmill.
I have found some Vietnamese Youtubers who have put ECR Lorac books online. I am listening to a lot of them (before the copyright infringement folks catch up with them). It makes such a huge difference having an audiobook I'm genuinely interested in listening to when exercising and getting my steps.
I have been working on my coffee shop today and I have a schedule to finish by Sunday. I have just realized the benefits of gluing things in place. I may go back to the library and glue things (furniture, books) in place. I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but it isn't like I'm actually playing dolls with it! So I don't need to move things about. I am going to do some paper things tomorrow, kettles on Thursday, and flowers on Friday. Photos on the weekend!
Doing some collaging. My new stuff (my new, new stuff) hasn't shown up yet. Neither have my new puzzles. Things to look forward to!
I've been slipping on the diet (Easter candy) and the words but something's gotta give.
