Today is Jimin's birthday (13 Oct). He's still serving in the Korean military. I can't really see Jimin as a detective. Nevertheless, I did a double drabble. This is part of my Jin's Dad Jokes series (so expect a dad joke or pun or two). Also for

“Jimin, what are you—oh!”
Seokjin stopped abruptly and stared, as Jimin was, at the bits of shoelace, canvas, and plastic in Jimin’s hands.
“That looks like it used to be shoes, Park Jimin—”
“Someone murdered them!” cried Jimin. “These were my favorites. My lucky shoes.”
“Do you know who did it?”
“No idea, hyung.”
“But surely there are clues.”
“If there are, I can’t find them. I’m not much of a detective, you know.”
“Nonsense. You just have to believe in yourself. And have a fabulously handsome, witty sidekick, which you do. Me. Say, Jimin, do you know what a detective’s favorite footwear is?” Seokjin nodded his head at Jimin’s hands and winked.
“No,” said Jimin blankly.
“Sneak-ers!”
Jimin burst into tears. “But I don’t have any sneakers anymore!” he wailed.
“Oh, come on, let’s go look for clues. Hyung will help you find the culprit.”

“And there he is!” cried Seokjin when they discovered the puppy. “We’ve caught you red-pawed, young man.”
“Oh, hyung, he’s so cute,” said Jimin. “You don’t suppose I could take him home? He might be my new lucky charm.”
Woof!
“Well, you certainly are compatible, you have the same taste in footwear.”
