The State of the Ficcery: October 2019
Oct. 31st, 2019 10:25 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Word Count: 44,627
[I passed my year-end GYWO word count goal of 250,000 this month and am at 273, 453 for the year so far]
Writing: Lots of words. I did 30 days of Kinktober and contributed to lots of comms: Holmes Minor, Watson Woes, Spooktober, Octobercest, 1 fill for the Corsets and Lemons kink meme, 4 for Give Satisfaction kink meme.
But there were still a lot of fics I didn’t get around to. And I’m behind on my verse, too. So I hereby declare next month to be NecRomantic November. I’d like to do a Cthulu myth fic called Drain Flies, where a mild-mannered housewife accidentally summons the Old Ones to help her with a pest problem. I want to make some progress on the 100 Fandoms, too (I'm up to 86). And I have my Tarot fic. And I need to get back to Men in Kilts and wrap that up.
Personal: Three cutting episodes, which is a lot for me, I’ve been cut-free since April, so not a great month from the neck up. I’m finding it very difficult to be a soccer mom. And I am not, as they say, taking care of myself. But the boys’ father is back and so I’ve had help with them. And so, you know, life goes on, whether you want it to or not.
