My friends at work joke about my Endeavour hyperfixation. ^_^ I feel kind of bad because obviously this was John Thaw's role and his gig; he was the one who brought it all to life and yet it's my least favourite of the three. I like Lewis for its more chirpy, hopeful theme (and actually find him more attractive as an older, learned, kindly gent!) but I adore Endeavour. He does go through the mill in this series as a young detective - stabbed, shot, constantly bullied at work, framed for murder and tossed in prison and that's just the start.
