Thank you! Canonically, Bertie goes to the Turkish bath so the prompt was 'bath' and I wanted him to meet someone from another source for the crossover. I thought about Dorian Gray but Gray was destroyed before the time Bertie would be going to the bath, so then I moved on to vampires and such and there was a sort of compare and contrast with Aubrey (the other main character of "The Vampyre") I wanted Bertie to be like Aubrey on the outside (and thus fool Lord Ruthven) but not really be the dupe that Aubrey was.
The OCC is a nod to the mod of the 51+ challenge, whose username is corvidology.
