I went to the post office today (twice!) and mailed all my Christmas cards. So that is done! I forgot one and went back a couple of hours later just to drop it in the chute but the outside mailbox was full and cards were sticking out and I don't like to cram things in (especially because it was pouring down rain) so I toodled along to a different public mail box. The line inside the post office was long and I got my usual scolding from staff. I got to send a book to the creator of the Shedunnit podcast, so that made me happy. I posted on the members forum I was willing to give it away to a good home and she said she'd lent hers and never got it back. I also participated in the Shedunnit holiday card exchange and my recipient in Leeds has already gotten hers. So that's good.

All the boys' gifts but one have been ordered and received except one that's back ordered. I went overboard so I may save the back ordered one for Minor's birthday in March. I found a pair of 20 lb dumbbells the boys' father wanted so that is done. My sister finally got her give I ordered from the World Wildlife Fund (FYI I will NEVER order anything from them again; they are very inefficient; I don't know how they save pandas if it takes them 5+ weeks and two harassing emails to mail a T-shirt).

I got two holiday cards from online friends, and a lovely Carmilla postcard via the Multi-Fandom Postcard Exchange.

Minisculus has to do a slide on his family traditions at this time so I've been taking staged photos of him decorating our tiny tree and making crafts and decorating gingerbread cookies. One more and I can assemble it for him.

So now I feel like I can enjoy Christmas without obligation. It is supposed to SNOW on Wednesday! The only thing bad about 100% virtual school is there are no snow days.

Yesterday was my saint day (Saint Lucy) and I asked for a day off but the boys' father and I have different ideas about how 'off' I get to be. :/ He went to a check-up and now is having a colonoscopy next week so that will be interesting. His first experience with any kind of anesthesia.

Just rambling. I am reading A Christmas Party by Georgette Heyer (also called Envious Casca) and need to be reading Groaning Spinney by Gladys Mitchelll (also called Murder in the Snow) for the Shedunnit book club this month.

Really curious what you make of the Gladys Mitchell book. I happen to have it out from the library at the moment (entirely by coincidence).

I hope you enjoy the snow day, even if virtual school still happens.

Congrats on getting so much done! Also, I hope you have your snow day. Even if virtual school must continue :)
