Notes: from my Men in Kilts AU
For: Day 17: a fireplace scene with tree and two champagne flutes.
Summary: Sherlock plans a romantic evening in December.
Sherlock wasn’t romantic, and Wwen it came to Christmas, he was a veritable Scrooge. Nevertheless, he was preparing to welcome John home that evening with a fire in the fireplace, a lovely fir decorated with all the trimmings, and a slightly warm champagne toast.
John had taken a pre-Christmas housekeeping gig at the home of one of his former ‘Men in Kilts’ regulars who, an elderly lady who lived alone and of whom he’d been rather fond.
Sherlock’s mobile buzzed.
“Not now,” he said.
“John’s been arrested for murder.”
Well, thought Sherlock, that solves the problem of room temperature champagne.
