That looks surprisingly familiar - I did like that cover. (I couldn't post it as it was a library book in my case.)

The morning light bleached it a bit, I think it's more striking in person (the cover). Really, I think, a very beautiful cover.

Am finally reading it now! Feels a bit slow at the start, but am finally happy to have gotten to a dead body (that sounds so weird...) in the book.

Oh yes, definitely a lot of smuggling. I made a very good guess about the illicit cargo on the barge and seems like I was in the right direction based on where I'm at in the book.

I do like the design of the British Library Crime Classics—that's a particularly vivid-looking one!

I think whoever does their covers is a genius! I love, love them. And this one is even more beautiful in person. The red-orange colour is very rich. Just gorgeous.
