stonepicnicking_okapiToday (the full moon in May) is a day that Buddhists celebrate day of the birth of the Buddha, the day he received enlightenment, and the day he shed his earthly form. It is called different things, Buddha Purnima, but in Sri Lanka, it is called Vesak. Here's a video of Colombo, Sri Lanka lit up for the celebration.
