Day 3: What's a favorite, or at least memorable fandom meeting/interaction that you've had?

Over the winter, I communicated with ancientreader about an The Old Guard fic about werewolves, and I wanted Joe and Nicky to have signature scents (the old trope, he smelled like X, Y, and Z) and I researched Tunisian and Genovese foods and culture, but I hate cooking and I am a bad cook and I don't like or own a lot of spices and ancientreader sent me an envelope full of tiny plastic bags of her spices, so I could smell them all without spending a lot of money and buying things I'd never use. It was very thoughtful of her and was nicely respectful of who I am (e.g., someone who hates to cook and has an awkward relationship with money) and helpful and I decided on the spices and scents and wove them into It was a dark and stormy night.

I have also got 3 lovely postcards from the Multi-Fandom Postcard Exchange: Miss Marple, Carmilla, and The Old Guard.

Yes, it would've been costly and wasteful for me to purchase them myself but very, very helpful.
