Date: 2019-03-14 01:14 pm (UTC)But it's members-only. I could re-roll (maybe the word prompts?) but there's no guarantee I'd get anything more amenable. I was planning to use them for verse prompts for April, which is National Poetry Month in the US.
Here's the scoring, which is complicated.
Word Count Scoring:
Aces: Write stories that are 100–399 words. One point is given to each story that is between 100 and 399 words. (Total points possible: 5.)
Fives: Write stories that are 400–699 words. Five points are given to each story that is between 400 and 699 words. (Total points possible: 25.)
Sevens: Write stories that are more than 700 words. Seven points are given to each story that is over 700 words. (Total points possible: 35.)
Bonus: If every story is an exact multiple of 100 (for example, three stories are submitted and the story lengths are exactly 100 words, exactly 200 words, and exactly 100 words), you score an additional 10 points. (Bonus points possible: 10.)
Story Content Scoring:
Prose submissions for Story Content Scoring should be at least 100 words.
Three of a Kind: Write three stories that feature the same character(s). 20 points.
Four of a Kind: Write four stories that feature that the same character(s). 25 points.
Full House: Write a combination of angst/sorrow and fluff/happy—two stories must evoke one emotion, and three stories must evoke the other. 30 points.
Large Straight: Write a linked story using all five prompts—all five prompts must connect to tell one story. 40 points.
Yahtzee: Write five stories that are the exact same length (within 10 words) and are about the same character(s). 50 points.
And verse scoring.
Poetry, Songs, and Non-Prose
The Word Count Scoring may be modified in the following ways if you are not writing prose:
Aces: Write poetry that is 5–10 lines. One point is given to each poem that is between 5 and 10 lines. (Total points possible: 5)
Fives: Write poetry that is 11–25 lines. Five points are given to each poem that is between 11 and 25 lines. (Total points possible: 25)
Sevens: Write poetry that is more than 25 lines. Seven points are given to each poem that is over 25 lines. (Total points possible: 35)
Bonus: If every poem is the same number of lines, you score an additional 10 points. (Bonus points possible: 10.)
Of course, the number of lines in a poem is sort of an odd thing to measure by but I suppose they need something.

Date: 2019-03-16 08:29 pm (UTC)Honestly your productivity astonishes and impresses me. It's a big day for me if I get 250 words written; I think a challenge like this would leave me hiding my head under the covers for a week!
