Into the Void

The high of the day was after MUCH strain, I finally pried the lid of the rock tumbler off. The rocks are nice and shiny and I didn't have to ask a neighbor to help. I have told the boys I need a full day of quiet so Stage 2 (of 4) won't start until Saturday morning. It goes for 7 days.
The low of the day was that I didn't realize Minor's pick up soccer practice was actually happening [every coach has his ways and apparently for this one what sounds in an email like an inquiry is actually a done deal] so he missed it. This low was followed by an ominous letter from the insurance company that says Minor's pediatrician is out-of-network.
I took the boys to the pool twice (once yesterday and once today). I took them to the petting zoo yesterday.

We also went to the craft store and picked up the magnets for Minisculus' Death Star (which have been added to the paper mache hull, now we have some painting and making the Millennium Falcon). Minor has been working on his Mechno-Arm and has hit some snags, so we'll be problem-solving tomorrow.
I am making good progress on my cross stitch. It should be done by Monday.
I am enjoying Book 1 audiobook of the series Rivers of London. I really like the narrator Kobna Holdbrook-Smith very much.
And I tried my hand at the hirameki challenge on
drawsome. Hirameki is when you make a watercolor blob and then make a doodle out of it. Continuing with yesterday's PRIDE theme, I did a rainbow one inspired by the PRIDE colors/themes (life, healing, sunlight, nature, art, spirit)
