The boys, their father, and I went to the ocean (3 hours away) for 2 nights, and we had a good time. It was nice to walk along the shore and wake up to the sound of the ocean and watch the little birds and pick up shells. Most of the shells I picked up were of the large, thick, sturdy kind.
Thank you! The sea shells I brought back last year were small and delicate but these are hefty specimens! And I did read 4 chapters of The Flight of the Heron while I was away.
