Thank you for sharing this gem! The Boulanger sisters must have been absolutely astounding and mind-blowing. Lili was the first woman to win the Prix de Rome in the category musical composition in 1913, where the jury was notoriously misogynic and they obviously listened to her work with utmost disdain-- but the quality rolled over them like a tank! :D

Oh, wow. I didn't know that. But, yeah, this Year of Wonder book is giving me an education in just how difficult it was for female composers to exist. I like nocturnes a lot and was thrilled to find a new-to-me one.
