Into the Void: post-me weekend

stonepicnicking_okapiI usually take the days between my birthday and Mother's Day 'off' more or less, and I enjoyed myself. I didn't cook (much). I got some nice gifts. My sister gave me a miniature house (from the same company that did the library and the coffee shop). I have been neglecting the coffee shop so I had better get on it! I have more to do! I got a nice breakfast out with just the boys' father, and I didn't have to go to Minor's soccer game (yay!).
I'm back exercising and studying Korean.
I caught Minor on his Twitter account (he just turned 11) which I didn't know he had while he was supposed to be doing his math homework. Sigh. Why does an 11 year old need a twitter account? He thinks he does. But it got deleted.
The boys are in the winding up phase of school. They have Field Day (remember that?) on Thursday and the first of Minor's end-of-the-year concerts is Friday evening. The last day of school isn't until June but there's a lot of lasts to get through. And then I'll have a middle-schooler. Yikes!
I am reading Death on the Nile; a true crime called Last Call; a YA Sleeping Beauty remix called A Spindle Splintered and The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell. I finished listening to two George Bellairs' Inspector Littlejohn mysteries on Youtube and have been re-listening to The Big Bow Mystery which is one of my favourites.
Mothers will understand I am doing that thing where you go through the kids' clothes and swap out the bigger kid's hand-me-downs for the smaller kid's too-smalls. Minisculus needs some summer pajamas that fit him. I think I have 3 candidates, so go me. And we need to do a Sock Summit because they are stealing and fighting over each others' socks.
