Word Count for August: 6653 *sad trombone plays*

Almost 15k down from the monthly goal.

But I didn't default on my Hungry Ghost Title Challenge and my favourite season of the year Hallowe'en is in the offing.

Also I see I didn't read but one book (my Agatha Christie) and listen to one book (ol' Rebus) this whole month. Not sure what I've been doing with myself (besides, you know, Motherhood, ha!)

I did 17 spreads and 2 notecards, so collaging may be taking up the time, too. And I exercised 20 days out the month.

Here's to September being more productive.

Yes, there are only so many hours. I hope the muse comes back in full force for the end of year, though. I have thought about moving my yearly word count goal down for a while, and this year I may do it and save myself stress.

You got words! Maybe not the goal you had set, but it still sounds like a successful writing month to me with all you've had going on. I hope September is even better for you.

Ah, don't be mad at yourself. You can't ramp up the power on every front there is, can you. I mean, you exercised on 20 days this month, that's almost every day! And there were the boys' summer holidays. You did excellent! 🥳

You're right. Not very realistic to suppose I can keep it all going equally strong. I have to adjust my expectations! Aw, thanks! Yes, and it's still hot here, so exercising is a lot of sweating (which I'm not fond of). Thanks!

Btw, I find exercising when it's hot a lot more satisfying, because you're sweating sooner: as if you were working out twice the time already. ;) But seriously, good thing is your body is already warm, and I find it easier to lean into more taxing poses. And sweating is a good thing! :D

Aw, thanks! I appreciate the encouragement and enthusiasm. Yes, I am using my bullet journal diligently to record if I exercise or not, so I know precisely how many days I managed. But I eat a lot of shit, my friend. And it's pumpkin spice donut season! But thanks. I did do a lot of mom stuff. Thankfully, I've got parental assistance now.

And HAPPY JK DAY! I still think it's crazy that they let Jungkook hang and fly from the air in Euphoria in concert and in the Grammy performance. If I'm the president of Korea, I've got to be, sweating buckets and, like, 'oh, look, there's 5% of our GDP dangling like a naked lightbulb!'

Aw, thanks. Hope you enjoy the fic. Yes, some is better than none. It is difficult to exercise. My family does a 5k race in November so I have a fixed target for my efforts. That helps. But I do hate exercise. Thanks about the collages.
