There is a mouse in our house. The boys have named him Humphrey and he's roaming about (scoffing at our many traps) after midnight. He actually hid in my bedroom the night before last and caused no end of chaos running from dresser to closet to under the bed, even *shudder* taking temporary refuge in my collage materials craft box!

I am excited about making Christmas cards! As of today, I am shifting into Holly Jolly mode. Ho, ho, ho! I need to upload my Xmas icons and perhaps change the theme to something festive. Wednesday is shopping day so I'll be looking for gifts. I ordered the boys' stuff but I want to get the boys' father some running shorts as his are falling apart and he refuses to part with them until they have so many holes, they no longer stay on his corpus.

I have the Turkey Trot 5k in about 10 days. I am still training. I am SLOW but I will cross the finish line upright--that's the only goal.

It's getting cold finally. We turned on the heat for the first time yesterday.

I'm about 25k from my year end word goal, so I'll make it, but I am resolved to go for a much lower total next year.

I actually spend a lot of free time (and money) playing the BTS phone game In the Seom. I know, but yes! I have bought the set little characters lots of outfits! And sometimes I get frustrated with levels and buy extra blasters to WIN! I know, I know.

Minisculus is trying out for basketball tomorrow night. He also has his First Reconciliation service on Saturday. Tonight is the rehearsal (which I don't have to go to since the boys' father is in town, yay). Minor got a trim on his mohawk yesterday and has to collect the pies he sold as chorus fundraiser on Thursday. So, you know, family stuff.

Ugh, we also had mice in my former flat, and it was pretty unpleasant. Especially at night when they're obviously gearing up to party. The lived below the floor boards, because that was a quite old house with loads of space beneath the boards... I hope Humphrey didn't soil your crafts supply!! *shakes fist at him*

Yes, Humphrey is active at night. We haven't seen him for two nights. I don't know what that means. But he's still at large. He wasn't hiding in my craft box for long but it was funny because we made so much noise trying to find him and the boys' father (after 10 minutes of searching) kicked the box and he jumped out. The traps definitely aren't working. But he hasn't returned to the bedroom, so that's good.
