Humphrey is dead. Long live Humphrey. Humphrey is the mouse that was in my house. We've reports from downstairs that they caught him in a trap. I haven't seen him for about two weeks, so it must be true. I confess I was very sad when I heard he was dead. As long as he stayed out of my bedroom, I was okay with him. RIP Humphrey.

sixbeforelunch posted something funny about opening packages and being surprised at how useful items will be (being surprised and impressed with your past self's ability to pick out and order useful things). I had a similar reaction when I got out the Xmas box and saw I had some very cute unopened craft kits. Thanks, past okapi! These are sweet!

I am making Xmas cards and enjoying it. I shall post some photos on Friday.

I enjoyed the 5 day weekend. Finished another Agatha Christie and am working on another jigsaw puzzle. My word count will be very sad this month, but I can't find it in myself to be upset about it (as I was in the late summer). I hope I make my GYWO goal but I'll need a really good month, like, 25k.

But there are advent drabbles and newyearcntdown prompts so I might pull it off in the end. We'll see.

I need to start with the cards soon too. I think they will be "winter" cards again (because there's no way they'll be out by the holidays).

I am still hoping to get a few cards made, but I will mostly be sending commercial ones. I was surprised at some of the supplies I had when I opened the Christmas box. Past me also did pretty well.

That's a great feeling. I am going through my supplies fairly quickly. I don't know that there'll be much left for next year, but who knows if I'll still be doing this next year.

Thank you! I don't remember seeing anything remarkable that the craft store this year, in the way of Christmas crafts, so it's especially nice that I saved some from past years.

Yeah, I was underwhelmed by the Xmas crafts at the store this year, so I am especially pleased Past Okapi snagged some interesting ones and hung onto them. Yea!

Yes, I think the family downstairs had a lot of traps set, more than us. I was mainly concerned about him staying out of my bedroom, but I didn't begrudge him kitchen crumbs. Nevertheless, RIP.
