Meme: Fandom Questions

Following smallhobbit's use of squidgiepdx's list of questions.

We all have that ONE fandom, or OTP. But what would you consider your backup fandom? Bonus: Who is your backup OTP? Same fandom or different?

Sherlock Holmes is my one fandom (with all its many facets), so Jeeves & Wooster would be my backup and Bertie/Jeeves would be my backup OTP.

If you were able to insert yourself into one fandom as your reality, what would it be? Bonus: How different would you be in that reality?

I think about a week in Themyscira (Wonder Woman) and I wouldn't recognize ANYTHING about myself :)

What character do you think you would end up being best friends with? Bonus: What other character would you and your new bestie give a hard time to?

BBC Sherlock's Lestrade and we'd give Sherlock a hard time, naturally.

You get to crossover two completely different fandoms. What two shows, and why? Bonus: Give us a preview!

Can you imagine Bertie Wooster in Themyscira? Imagine the first time he used the term 'the delicately nurtured'! I don't know if they would try to eat him or maybe one of the Amazons would feel sorry for him and keep him as an exotic pet.

Ha! Precisely! And that's why I think (hope?) one of them would take pity on him and keep him. But, yeah, he'd get a new take on the phrase 'bronzed and fit.'

...Honestly, I'm not even into DC or superheroes in particular, but I would totally read about Bertie in Themyscira. If you'd do a Golden Age Wonder Woman setting, they'd even be contemporaries.

True! I was thinking it was WWII but I was wrong. I just looked it up the recent movie is actually WWI which canon-wise Bertie didn't fight in (or did he?) but Jeeves definitely did. That would be very funny.

The Jeeves era has always been a bit murky... I usually think anything from 1920 to 1940 is free game.

Addemdum: I wouldn't say no to 1910s Jeeves setting either, since the first story was written then, but I'd expect that to be early days for Jeeves and Bertie...
