I am fannish about the art of Edward Gorey.



I have done at least three jigsaw puzzles of his art. I've had over the past years a desk calendar and a wall calendar. I have a pack of story-telling cards, which I've used as prompts. I have a magnet on the fridge of his rendering of Holmes and Watson. I have sent out Xmas cards with his art in the past. I also have a board game based on his art called The Evil Garden. I like the odd and dark humor of his works. It seems seasonal to bring him up now because he did the art for a production of Dracula (with Granada Sherlock actor Jeremy Brett).

I am not fannish about Gorey, per se, but I do enjoy his art (and I always loved the opening to Mystery! on PBS). I like that first one especially with the flowers contrasting with his art pieces.
