Sandwich Day!

Today is Sandwich Day! I got a blt at the overpriced, very slow bistro today to observe the day.

What is your favorite kind of sandwich?

Mine are or have been:

1. peanut butter and potato chip (I ate these as a child)
2. smoked trout on baguette (there was a cafe near my undergraduate college which served this)
3. tomato on toast with or without a fried egg (I ate these in the Peace Corps)
4. tuna sub (just lettuce and tuna prepared outside tastes bizarrely better than tuna made at home--a mystery I have yet to solve)
5. blt with or without avocado (today I had it with avocado)

I like chicken salad best I think. Or cheese and ham.

So what is usually in your chicken salad (besides chicken and mayonnaise, I suppose)?

The boys said they wanted ham for Thanksgiving rather than turkey and it's actually cheaper and more manageable so we may have ham and cheese left overs at the end of the month.

Chicken, mayonnaise, lettuce, cucumber and tomato, maybe a bit of onion.
