stonepicnicking_okapi1. Today is Hug a bear Day. I have 2 stuffed animals. The okapi in my default icon and a larger bear that was given to my mother while she was in the nursing home (she died of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease aka Mad Cow disease when I was 18, so 30 years ago). I had the boys hug grandma's bear before they went to school today. I also have a very small bear (like fits in my hand) because its eyes and expression remind me of Minisculus. It's on the window sill by the bed, staring at me.
2. Yesterday I ordered a new Moleskin journal for my 2024 bullet journal and I resisted the temptation to get something fancy (cherry blossom--so pretty, silk cover, too) and went with the same as what I have (large, dotted, serviceable) in blue instead of my current black. Youtube is filling my feed with 2024 journal set up videos.
3. I am still training for the 5k on Thanksgiving. May the boys and I stay healthy enough to do it! 16 days away! Right now it says cold and rainy maybe snow! Fabulous! *groans in mom*
4. I did not forget the 5th of November! I watched V for Vendetta last night. It's like watching an episode of Midsomer and trying to pick out all the British actors: Jeeves! Lestrade! Douglas! I will try to fic something tonight or tomorrow.
5. Minisculus scored goals at both of his soccer games the past weekend. We got frozen yogurt on Sunday. He has a tournament this coming weekend at a field an hour away so it will be long drives and picnic lunches.
6. There is a new Tuesday Murder club book. I reserved the audiobook version which will take a couple of months but I like something to genuinely look forward to! And it's a sure bet.
7. I have bought Minisculus' 2 Xmas gifts already so I feel like I am ahead of that game.
8. I am still in scary movie mode. Perdr_zook's recommendation, I watched the 1970's Suspiria and now I am planning to watch the 2018 version. Maggots raining from the ceiling--eeeew!
