Views & News: school's out for summer edition

1. Last week of school here. Minor and Minisculus' last full day was today. They have 3 half days for the rest of the week.

2. I am (almost) halfway done with my Unconventional Courtship fic and it's due on Thursday *weeps in procrastination*

3. Yesterday, I thought of 2 solutions to a problem I have jogging, and I don't know why I didn't think of them before. This problem has plagued me for years. I don't know if anyone else has ever suddenly thought of something and you ask yourself 'why didn't I think of that years ago???'

I am in training for the bridge 10k in November.

4. Minisculus' team won on Saturday, and he scored! I am not going to the last game. It is Very Far Away (his father's taking him) so I was happy to end the season (for me) on a high note. Today is his last swimming lesson so by Saturday we will be done with spring sports.

5 JUNE: Hot Air Balloon Day: Have you ever been up in a hot air balloon? If not, would you like to?

Yes, sign me up!

6 JUNE: Eyewear Day: Would you ever wear pince-nez or a monocle?

Only if I slipped into an alternate universe where I went to Eaton and Balliol and solved crimes when I wasn't collecting first editions.

7 JUNE: Headache Awareness Week: What’s the best treatment for a headache?

Caffeine and a dark room.

8 JUNE: World Oceans Day: Do you get seasick?

If it's rough, yes, but I've never actually vomited.

9 JUNE: Corn on the Cob Day: Corn on the cob. Yay or nay?

YES! I love it.

10 JUNE: Ball Point Pen Day: What is your favorite writing instrument and why?

I like fine black ink Sharpie's. It bleeds, though so not appropriate. A sharp pencil is good, too. I like erasers.

11 JUNE: Making Life Beautiful Day: How you make another person’s life beautiful?

I don't know that I do, to be honest. Who thought up these questions?? I do like sending postcards to people.

Thank you! I've put a lot of things on hold trying to get it done. I'm doing kind of a chapter by chapter analysis of Farewell My Lovely and that has been interesting.

Yeah, this is a tiny pet peeve in jogging I've had forever and ever and it just randomly occurred to me two ways I could deal with it yesterday and I almost laughed out loud at myself.
