Does anyone have any recommendations for a facial cleanser? My big bottle of Cetaphil is empty but I don't feel any loyalty to it. I have normal (mature!) skin.
Probably 2 weeks. It's an indulgence I'm afraid, maybe not such a good recommendation.
#2 is better value and probably good enough.
But I am sick and tired of scrimping and saving. FOR ONCE I treated myself. If my husband goes away on our 30th wedding anniversary, I deserve a treat. I also bought myself a big bunch of flowers and a fancy meal for me and my daughter. I don't have any friends or social life so I thought to hell with it. FOR ONCE I'll buy something nice for myself.
Sorry that turned into a rant, but I'm so tired of putting myself last in the queue for everything.
I've changed my mind about this. I recommend 2. Medik8 Surface Radiance Cleanse 150ml now. I only need to use a blob the size of a pea or sunflower seed once a day for my face, so 150ml is going to last ages!
I currently have a big box full of cleansers I got through promotions/samples/giveaways from brands I've heard of but never tried. But if I am spending money on a cleanser, I've tended to stick with Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser which is expensive. I bought the jumbo size bottle last time so I'm still making my way through it and will definitely last for a while. It's gentle and I find it doesn't strip your skin dry.
If you live in an area where you actually get four seasons, I'd probably switch to a creamier cleanser in the late fall/early winter. Have yet to find one I totally love when it comes to cream cleansers.

1. Alpha-H Melting Moment Cleansing Balm with Wild Orange Leaf Extract 18g
This one smells gorgeous, lovely and buttery. It did make my skin look clearer.
2. Medik8 Surface Radiance Cleanse 150ml
This one is more like a gel, it smells nice but I haven't seen as much of an effect yet.
I recommend no. 1. But they are expensive...because I'm worth it!
* my husband had to go away on a work conference on our wedding anniversary, so I treated myself to these.

Date: 2024-09-20 03:32 pm (UTC)Thanks. I'm glad that was last week and over now, we were NOT looking forward to it. We went for a meal the next day instead and had a lovely time.
