Fannish 50: 2024: Everything is Murder edition: #45: Snoopy

I like Snoopy (and Woodstock). I have a Snoopy and Woodstock T-shirt. I wear it when I am feeling soft. I don't have any other fannish clothes. This is it.



I had a 3D Snoopy jigsaw puzzle with him dressed as a detective [uniting 3 of my loves very nicely], but lamentably it was so poorly constructed, I binned it a few months after I had to glue it together. It fell off a shelf (onto carpet) and burst into pieces. It was so fiddly it tried my patience to the snapping point.

I tried to get some Snoopy Christmas stickers but the ones I saw a few weeks ago at Target were GONE! So I ended up going down to the Hallmark store and getting a Snoopy kit to send a letter to Santa to make this collage. It came with a couple of coloring pages and two envelopes. I re-watched Charlie Brown Christmas and I realized I really just like Snoopy and Woodstock. Schroder is okay, too.



And to make it murder-y, here is my drabble for today's prompt (North Pole) on fffc.

Title: Packing for the North Pole

Summary: Charlie Brown is packing.


“What are doing, Charlie Brown?”

“Packing, Linus.”

“Is your family traveling for Christmas this year?”

“No, just me.”

Linus watched as Charlie Brown hurriedly shoved a pair of boots in a rucksack. “Where are you headed?”

“The North Pole.”

Linus’ eyebrows rose. Then he observed, “There seems to be some haste about your departure.”

“There ought to be.”

Just then, from beyond the window, there rose Lucy’s strident tone.

“Which one of you blockheads murdered the Snow Princess I built for the contest? I’ve got your bootprint, so I will find you and have my revenge!”

Linus gulped. “I’ll help.”

Christmas Snoopy! My SO loves Snoopy and Woodstock. And one of our dogs got his name from the Charlie Brown holiday special airing the day we rescued him.

Re your drabble: since mean-spirited property destruction isn’t Linus’ style, I’m assuming that he either damaged the Snow Princess accidentally or is innocent but knows all too well who his sister is likely to blame.

ETA: Or she was foolish and inconsiderate enough to incorporate his blanket into the design.
