Yesterday the boys and I dyed eggs. This was the Cosmic PAAS kit (for those in the US) and it was super easy and gave a great result.

There are a lot of different options these days. I let the boys pick out what they wanted on Wednesday and I have to say I'm impressed.

wow - those look great! obviously there has been much improvement in egg dying technology since I last did a batch (years and years ago)

Yeah, this was easy, just put the egg in the plastic bag provided and drop a couple of drops of dye and rub and the colors were very dark and interesting patterns. And it came with glue and glitter to add the same way (in the little plastic bags) so very easy to clean up.

Those look awesome. What's the process on Cosmic PAAS?

I am a big fan of Easter egg dye variants. Some have been an unholy mess. Some gave great results, others not. In one memorable case, the marbled paint floating on water was muddy for all but one person who got brilliant results. So I'm always curious about other people's experiences.

This one you put the egg in a little plastic bag, put a couple of drops of dye and rub and the colors are very dark. So you just toss the plastic bag in the end and no mess. No vinegar required. There is a packet of glitter and a packet of glue too to add the same way. Egg in bag, drops of glue, sprinkles of glitter and rub (on a dry egg). So the color was much darker and the process was much shorter and the clean up was much easier.

They look wonderful. And much less messy from your descriptions above than when I've done them. The boys made a good choice!

Yes, the colors were darker (normally we would soak the eggs for hours to get them very bright) and the clean up was simplicity itself and there was even glue and glitter--which is spilled of course!
