Challenge #2: Pets of Fandom
Loosely defined! Post about your pets, pets from your canon, anything you want!
My main fandom is Sherlock Holmes and one of the many questions related to canon is what happened to the dog (or was it a dog? Some believe it was a gun!) that Watson claims he keeps (a bully pup) when he first meets Sherlock Holmes. I have answered this in ficlets for as long as I have been in fandom (which is now 15 years). Here's another go.

“Brilliant, as always, Holmes. I’ve been saying it for decades, but it is still true.”
“Thank you. I fear the case of the Colonel’s murder reinforces my argument that the countryside can be far more harrowing than the city.”
“Are you ready to return to Sussex? The bees must be missing you.”
“Just about. Watson?”
“Yes?”
“One point. The Colonel’s death leaves Remy alone in the world.”
“Temporarily. The Colonel’s daughter was arriving soon to settle her father’s affairs. Surely, she will take responsibility for the pup.”
“True. And that’s the most logical course, but I’ve mentioned the matter the police and with the vicar and the Colonel’s solicitor. So, what say you if we take Remy home with us?”
“A dog, Holmes? At our age?”
“Yes.”
“He’s friendly.”
“And disciplined.”
“I don’t know what to say…”
“If it isn’t a good match, we could always contact the daughter. Or the vicar. He’s offered.”
“Is it because Remy looks so much like Bully?”
“Yes.”
“You know Bully lived out his years happily despite the fact I had to relinquish him to the hotel manager to pay for the debts I’d accrued.”
“We could do the same for Remy.”
“Let’s!”
