Oh, wow. I just ordered this about a week ago as a way to help an independent bookstore. I read it to Minisculus but he was indifferent. It's mainly for me. I am not doing very well. :(
I am so sorry to hear that, and not terribly surprised. I don't know anyone who's doing well just now: I think we're all of us gritting our teeth and hanging on by a tether. Hugs, and all. It sucks.
Really? I don't know. It seems like everyone on this site is already thinking positive thoughts and filling up gratitude journals and sewing silver linings. I feel like I am the only one struggling to maintain a modicum of routine. I went to the store today for the first time and it is so very disconcerting. Lots of some things, nothing of others. It's very difficult to think. And I am not even reading the news or anything direct.
I guess we know different people! Also, I'm in NYC, which has 1/3 of the cases in the whole country (think: European-style population density) and I'm married to a doctor [rest of list of reasons not to be cheerful redacted so as not to bring you down further]. Believe you me, no gratitude journals are being made around here.
Feel free to message me with further woes: maybe we can be bitterly funny together, or something.
