I wanted to go modern(ish) [as opposed to carols] but there are too many to choose from and I may be coming down with a cold and I've been self-medicating to prevent that so my head is a wee muddled. All this to say I may post music every day (until Christmas).

I made hot chocolate bombs today (from a kit). They turned out well. You make the chocolate shell (with a mould, freeze it) and fill with cocoa powder and marshmallows and sear two halves of the shell and decorate.

They really do kind of explode when you drop them in the hot milk.

The boys' father drinks hot chocolate every day so it was something good to try.

I was thinking of The Grinch that Stole Christmas when I picked this theme but it works well for this fic I wrote for bethctg too.

I did a triple ACD drabble with Christmas greenery at watsons_woes.

I am getting some ideas for these from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Christmas is Coming!. They have paired this of Shakespeare with a detail of Louis John Rhead's Scribner art on the opposite page and it's a striking combination
