My poem: Agatha's Alphabet of Murder
Apr. 2nd, 2022 10:26 amTitle: Agatha's Alphabet of Murder
Poetic form: Abecedarian
Fandom: Agatha Christie - all works & Original
Length: 353
Rating: Gen
Warning/Notes: I started this when I finished Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders so the first three (and the name of the fourth) are from that work. Some spoilers for other works by Agatha Christie, but to make the ABC work I had to change and add places/names, so it's a bit of a muddle. Don't read if you're super-SPOILER sensitive.
Mrs. Ascher of Andover
struck down in her shop while trying to reach
Miss Betty Bernard of Bexhill-on-Sea
strangled with her own belt on the beach
Sir Carmichael Clarke of Churston
bashed on the head on post-prandial stroll
Deputy-master Downes of Doncaster
shot with an arrow while taking the roll
Ellis the Ex-Butler of Ellengaze
completely vanished into Cornish air
Mrs. Fanny Fortescue of FewTree Lodge
took taxine with tea common, honey rare
