My Poems: Wrapping Paper Limericks
Nov. 15th, 2021 09:24 pmI won't confess how long I've been working on these limericks, but it is much longer than less than 70 words should take. I do sometimes do poems on chocolate wrappers but as I'm out at the moment, I let this nice wrapping paper be my muse.

There once was a pilfering parrot,
who stole gems and gold by the karat,
but when his fence split,
he squawked, ‘This life I must quit,
or whatever I nick, I must wear it!”
There once was a purloining toucan
who pinched just like a tattoo can;
when zoo exhibits were closed,
his long beak he imposed
and made off with choice nibbles as few can!
