Craft: Cross-stitch of Kandinsky's Color Study: Squares with Concentric Circles

I have a cross-stitch pattern book of famous works of art and this is the first time in about 20 years I've done a cross-stitch to keep myself (not to give as a gift). This is Kandinsky's Color Study: Squares with Concentric Circles.

Thank you! I don't knit or crochet, so cross-stitch is my needle art form of choice. I almost always give them away. I haven't found a pattern (until now) I wanted to keep.

I do understand about a project associated with a specific time in life, like your divorce. Maybe it will bring back bad memories and maybe it will cathartic and a good thing. I can see it going either way. You can always chuck it if it generates bad vibes. I am at the stage where if it doesn't spark joy, it goes in the bin.
