Perhaps I am influenced by all the jigsaw puzzles I do, but these reminded me of jigsaw puzzles. They were on opposite walls of the same room and I sat on a sofa in between and fantasized for an unnatural amount of time about being a Bohemian artist commissioned to paint a five-panel work of a section of a romantic city (Paris) for a wealthy client (like the second one). I understand a lot of people have soap operas/dramas going on in their heads like I do.

Date: 2022-10-06 03:28 pm (UTC)I liked the paneled screen. Apparently the pieces were separated over the years and the National Gallery got them all and put them back as one. It was a lovely piece.
